I'd been looking at these since Christmas. I finally ordered them for next winter, but got lucky with 2 freak snow storms in April so I was able to wear them now. Water proof, warm, and true to size. I've received complements everytime I wear them. Sorel once again has met fashion with functionality.

I absolutely love the look of these boots. They are very warm and sturdy boots. Unfortunately the pair I have rubs very painfully on my heels and leaves me with blisters, so that's the only reason why I wouldn't recommend the product. I always want to wear the boots in the snow and cold weather but they cause me enough pain that I can't wear them everyday. I have to give my heels a break. Perhaps I got a bad pair and every other pair is great. If that's the case, then I would definitely recommend them. But for how much they cost, I had hoped they would not to be painful.

These shoes fit but were like wearing parade floats - enormous. Like moon boots. I returned them for the Tofinos which are much more manageable.
Extremely cute but I just could not walk in them.
I do not recommend this product.

These are really nice boots! After reading the other reviews I ordered a size down, normally I wear a 71/2 and I order the 7 and they fit well. I have not been able to wear them out since the winter was over when I received them but I have worn them around the house and they seem very comfortable.

I really like the fit and feel of these very warm boots. However, the little straps at the top are not strong enough to use for pulling them on as one of the snaps pulled out of the leather after just two uses. Don't use straps to pull boots on.

Finally broke down and bought some real snow boots, these are warm, comfortable, and stable. Have not tried them in wet conditions but hopefully they will be as waterproof as promised. Bring on the snow.

I wear a 7.5 and found the 7 to be too tight. Unfortunately, the strap on the top snapped so I have to return the boots. Customer Service was amazing and they are refunding the shipment and were so willing to help. I will order a 6.5 next in hopes that they dont' feel like they're falling off my feet.

The shoe looked like a boat on. Not only do the run big, the shoe itself is just big. These are more like rubber boots with fur on top. The shoe ran about 2 sizes too large. How are you too know that! Definitely a shoe to buy in a store and not online. Hated to pay for return shipping but there was no way I could just deal with it. Sorel offered to exchange with free shipping but I had to pay to get it back to the. I was very disappointed in the overall fit and look of the boot on.

These boots are awesome! They are really warm! The only complaint I have is Sorel put the sticker on the box and I wanted the sticker to put on my car!

love these boots. keep my feet dry and warm. I normally wear 6.5 ordered a 7. little big but perfect when wearing more than one pair of socks. get many compliments

These boots were sent to my wife who was in North Dakota, she said they were too big, (ordered her size) She wore three pair of socks and later thanked me because they were perfect for the large amount of snow, her feet were warm and toasty. Lots of compliments and a satisfied customer!!

I've had my boots a mere 3 months, and they have a hole in them on the back where the heel and ankle meet. I'm so disappointed!! My husband bought these for me for Christmas, so I would be able to hike through the tundra or schlep around Chicago all winter with warm dry feet. And they were PERFECT up until the last week. Luckily, we saved the box and the receipt. He bought Sorel's because he trusted the brand for it's quality. We thought these would last for YEARS! Now we're wondering if I wouldn't have been better off with a pair of Keen's instead. :(
I'll be exchanging them this weekend. If I get another pair and have better luck, then I'll write a better review.

This is a well constructed, durable boot. When I first put it on, it seemed like my calves were being forced forward, but that was only because the upper leather needed to be broken in a bit. After two wears it felt fine. They do run big, which is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. I measured my foot using the sizing sheet on this website, and I measured a 7.5. The sheet says to go UP to the nearest size, and since these don't come in half sizes, I ordered an 8. They were huge. When I called to exchange them, the sales associate said she always recommends to go a half or full size down. Too bad this information isn't put on the website, or it would have saved me $18 in return shipping. The size 7 fits great. They are also very warm. I live in central WI and these boots are great for cold winters.

My daughter needed winter boots but, wanted style. These fit the bill. The fit is great we ordered a 1/2 size smaller than our usual and they are perfect with or without a sock. The inner liner sock is warm and soft. They are a bit clunky and it is hard to drive in them but, for outdoor snow fun they are great!

So I received the Joan of Arctic boots in the mail and was very excited to get them. They are very warm but don't make your feet sweat. They are a little stiff around the back of my ankles I think just because they need to break in a little. Maybe due to tieing them too tight. loosening the laces helped alot. The backs dug into my legs above my heels while driving until I loosened the laces. I normally wear a size 7 so I ordered that size. My toes just about hit the end of the boot when I put them on, but when I stood up my toes didn't touch the end anymore and they fit perfect. Any smaller and they might be too small. The fur on the top is puffy and plentiful. Moreso than in the picture online but still super cute! Beware of dogs because they like to eat, lick the fur on the boots. Happened with 2 dogs I saw already. I am happy with these boots and I would recommend them.

I ordered these boots after seeing them being worn by so many people, and figured they were good quality. However, I needed them for a long weekend accompanying a group in Montréal, and after a first day of breaking them in, it was clear that they would just hurt constantly. By the next day, I was literally limping to make the pain manageable. I hadn't read the comments (won't make that mistake again) before but now that I do it does seem like I am far from the only person who had this problem. They should redesign the boots, something is definitely wrong with them. I'm returning them tomorrow. It's a pity because they do look good.

Bought these for a ski trip and they were perfect for cold weather/snow but also very stylish. Use the size chart if in doubt on what size to get. I was going to get an 8 (since I usually wear a 7 1/2) but bought the 7 instead which fit perfectly.
