At first, I thought the boot was too small for me as my big toe touched the front of the boot. Then I spoke with customer service who mentioned my heel should not slide out of place when walking...
I admittedly have a thing heel; (Nine West and Adidas are among the mainstream brands that are too wide for me at the heel). These went back. I like the style, though I expected the material to be less stiff from the ankle up.

So...I really value customer reviews. They are extremely helpful when making a purchasing decision. In contemplating weather or not to purchase the Conquest Carly Boot, I read ALL the reviews. Most of the reviews stated that the boots run large and most recommended to size down. After purchasing a half size up, I disagree. I typically wear a 6.5 and considered buying a 6. After speaking with a Sorel customer service representative, I decided to size up (with a size 7) rather than size down. It was the right move. Although I will keep the 7s, I will most likely only wear a thin sock. I am confident that a 7.5, worn with a thick sock, would have been perfect. Therefore, I recommend sizing up one size. That said, every foot is unique, and with this boot, I believe you will simply have to go with your gut...and possibly go through a few returns until you find the perfect fit...
In conclusion, this is a hot, stylish boot and even though the sizing may be a bit off, I vote YES!

I bought a 6.5 in these boots and usually inbetween sizes. If you are inbetween I recommend going up a half size. I wish I bought a 7. They fit right now but when I'm walking far my big toe gets sore from hitting the toe of the boot.
I read about the laces on the boot and I've done them up in such a way that I can just slip my legs into them.
I walked 1.5 km to work in them and they weren't bad. there was some slush and it was -10C and i didn't have socks and my feet were fine. It doesn't seem like there is lining in them but the material inside is soft. The boots kept my feet warm and dry.
Just hope the salt in Calgary doesn't wear at the leather strap on the bottom. I will just have to be careful or expect the leather to dry out and snap.
I've gotten tons of compliment. i wish they had these boots up in Canada. I was lucky enough to be in the Palm Springs and had these shipped to my friends place.

These boots are fantastic! Great for winter weather- and stylish enough that you can wear them even when there isn't snow on the ground! They are comfy and fit well and are extremely well made.

These boots are just absolutely fantastic. The style is eye-catching as they have ruggedness to them, but definitely also sport an edge. Every time I wear them I receive compliments.
I'm normally an 8, however my feet are narrow and a 7 fits me well.

I had to order these a size bigger just because a size 8 wasn't available online but b/c they aren't super insulted like most Sorel boots it is fine, I have just worn bulky socks with them! Can't wait to play in the mud with them :)

I absolutely LOVE the look of this boot and was so excited when I purchased it online. Unfortunately, the ankle area rubs very badly and is uncomfortable when walking. There is no liner inside and the leather ridges are quite hard on the interior. The ankle also buckles a bit when you walk which places the pressure on the back of the heel. I have contemplated returning it but I am trying to come up with creative ways to remedy this as the look is so great.

These are beautiful boots. I love wearing them and find them to be quite comfortable. I ordered a size 9 and feel that the boot fits perfectly, and the design of the boot somehow creates the illusion of having smaller feet (at least from my point of view) which I appreciate :) . I do feel like the boots should have been a little more substantial-- they're thinner than I expected and the laces seem flimsy. They're difficult to remove, which doesn't bother me, but I worry I'll rip the laces in the process.

These are well crafted boots but their advantage is style over functionality. The leather laces are not meant to be tightened (if you do, you won't be able to slip your foot into the boot easily). As a result, there is a bit of heel slippage which can be solved with an after market insole.
These boots are not insulated and the sizing is slightly on the large size. However, if you are between sizes, I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size up to accommodate a thick sock.

I saw these boots on a woman at a retail shop in Park City UT. She was wearing them with a skirt! I admired them and asked about them. She was kind enough to give me the information. I ordered them the next day! I LOVE THESE BOOTS. The boots are exactly as described!

They are really cute, but I had to send them back because there is NO ankle support at all. I feel like I am going to twist my ankle whenever I walk.

These boots for me fit perfectly, I am a size 10 and also have a bunion on my right foot so boots are tricky for me when sizing, but these fit great! The only thing you do have to watch the shoe laces, they are suede so what I did is only string them half way up boot and then wrapped around and tied, that way there is not a lot of strain on them....very adorable!

I've been wearing my Carly boots for about 3 weeks now, and I seriously can't get enough of them. I've actually been hoping for colder days recently just so I'd have an excuse to wear them! I get compliments every time I wear them, they're comfortable and they keep me warm and dry! What else could I ask for?!
Some of the common criticisms I've read are true: They run a little large (so that you can wear proper socks), the leather doesn't look perfect (it's actual leather, not pleather) and it does take some time to get on and off (but what a great fit!).... no complaints here though. These are possibly the best pair of boots I've ever owned! :D

The boots are very fashionable and look great. However, I purchased these boots because I live in an area that requires me to trek to classes in a lot of snow. I noticed the second day I wore them that the shoe laces did not hold tightly. I have smaller calves and the suede just doesn't tighten well enough to allow them to fit to the calf. Then, when I did try tightening them a little more, the suede shoelace ripped! I have since put other shoelaces on the boot that while they don't look as nice as the black shoelaces that came with the boot, they do the job much better. I would strongly advise against purchasing Sorel boots with suede shoelaces if you are looking for a tight fit.

After many hours of online searching for the perfectly comfortable and attractive winter boot, I have found it. Very stylish as well as comfortable. Hope to wear these boots for many winters!!! I wear an 8.5, which wasn't available, so I ordered the 9 and wear with some thicker socks and they fit perfectly.

This is a light-weight boot good for walking long distances, but it is not good for winter because: a) there is not enough insulation to keep your feet warm; b) it is not waterproof, contrary to advertisement. If you buy this boot, it would be good only for a shoe where you can easily wipe mud off of it and not damage the appearance. Otherwise, the upper part of the boot is warm and it allows for people with large calf muscles to wear it.

A very good looking women's winter boot, proven by all the compliments received when wearing them. Very lightweight even for short people like me! These boots will last me for many Canadian winters. I was surprised that the boots are not as warm as you would expect from a Sorel winter boot.
